How these 5 Rules of MLM Attraction Marketing relate to your Success with your business
MLM Attraction Marketing: what is it, how do you use it in your business, and why is it even important for you to understand? Attraction Marketing represents the easiest and simplest way to build your network marketing business. It used to be that the best network marketers were the ones who were the best at selling what they had to offer. Now, the best network marketers are the best at providing people with a solution. Solutions to challenges and problems are what people want these days. They don’t really care what type of business model you have. They couldn’t care less about how your product gets more nutrients to their cells faster. They don’t care who owns the company that you are associated with. All they care about is what benefit they can get from you and or your product.
Succeeding in your network marketing business is not about writing e-books, doing webinars, having the best lead capture pages or hosting the best ‘Hotel’ Meetings in the world. It’s not about the internet, or phone influence, or giving the best face-to-face presentations. Success in your network marketing business all about
“Teaching what you love and
standing out from the crowd.”
It’s that simple. Once you forget about all the hype that surrounds network marketing and focus on becoming an ‘expert’ that people are attracted and can learn from, your results will be change forever.
As much as I would love to tell you that I have uncovered the long lost secret to network marketing riches, I can’t. The reality is that the same principles that have made companies successful for years, and years, and years are the same principles that will give you success in your network marketing business for years, and years, and years. It’s that simple.
If you want to know what MLM attraction marketing is, you don’t have to look very far. All you have to do
is look at the people, places and things that you are attracted to everyday. What makes your favorite restaurant your favorite restaurant? What makes your significant other so attractive that you want to spend so much time with him/her? Why do you go to one hairdresser rather than the other? The answers to all these questions can be answered with one word – ATTRACTION. Something about these people, places and things has attracted you to them. You find them unique. They have qualities you want in them and as far as you are concerned, there is something about them that makes them standout from the crowd. These are the same principles that are going to make you succeed in network marketing.
You need to be different, you need to make sure people know what you are all about, you need to be able to provide people with something they need, or want, and you have to understand that people will be attracted to you for the benefit they receive from being associated with you. Your MLM success will depend on how well you can implement the 5 Rules Of Attraction Marketing
1. Be Different
2. Teaching Sells
3. Provide a Laser Focused Message
4. You Start with Zero Credibility
5. No One Cares About You
When you master these Rules, you will be able to excel at building business through your Warm Market and your Cold Market. Learn them, understand them and profit with them.
Rule #1: Be Different
As a network marketer, you are programmed to be the same as everyone else. One of the great failures within the network marketing Industry is that companies don’t want you to be an individual. The network marketing companies don’t want you to be an individual. They do this in an attempt to create a similar situation to that of a franchise scenario where they can maintain alignment and focus on the message that they want to send out to the world. The problem with that is that is

It is impossible because they can’t lock you into a contract that states you HAVE to promote the business in the exact way they want you to. That’s why a lot of other network marketers fail. They fall into the trap of being normal (or they join a group within the industry that doesn’t make them look different). They don’t set themselves up to succeed because they are told to be dependent on other people (Upline) to build their business. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with learning from your Up-Line if your Up-Line has ideas that mesh with who you are but you still have to be you. People will join you as a customer or a business partner because they like and trust you first; your offer is secondary to that. The business side of things will always be secondary to you. That means you have to give people a reason to follow you.
“If you don’t give people a reason to follow you then they will follow someone else, and that’s the last thing you want in network marketing.”
The exception to this rule is if they want to follow you and/or your team. You are a product of your team so make sure you find a team or group of people within your network marketing company who stand for what you believe in and have a style that meshes with yours. That’s why we call it attraction marketing. You will be working with people you are naturally attracted to you because they have the same style as you.
My opinion is that network-marketing companies have trainings that are similar to someone trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. Meaning, they train people to be so dependent on ‘other things’, the associates forget that they actually own one of the best passive income producing business around. Most companies will train you to do this of the time they want you to do this:
- Make A Names List
- Contact The People On The List And Offer Them Information
- Bring Them To A Generic Meeting (home or hotel)
- Get Them On A Generic Conference Call
- Give Them A Generic Company Magazine
- Get Them In Touch With Your Up-Line
- Ask For The Sale (get them to become a customer or a business partner)
- If They Say They Want To Think About It Then Give Them Some Time (Less than 48 Hours) And Then Ask For The Sale Again
- Sign Them Up And Get Them To Repeat The Process
This is supposed to be a fail-safe system that is proven to work. If that’s the case then why is it that only 5% of network marketers make a profit every year? Why do companies continue to preach this theory? If it only works for 5% of their associates then why do they continue to promote it? It doesn’t make sense because marketing never works when it is generic. If you are going to market anything, you have to know your audience and market according to what your audience wants to hear.
That’s why you need to be different! You need to be different and you need to put your business partners in a position to be different if they want to be, BUT you still have to have a system that promotes duplication. That’s a tall order isn’t? You need a duplicatible system that allows for individuality. It’s like asking for a McDonalds cheeseburger that is healthy. It just doesn’t sound right… unless you understand how to ‘train’ the importance of duplication while you teach Internet skills and develop attraction marketers.
In order to do this you need to focus your efforts on education rather than selling, which leads us to Rule #2.
Rule #2: Teaching Sells
What do you like to do more? Teach people about something that you like and are good at, or sell the way your network marketing company is telling you to sell (the traditional cookie cutter style – AKA: write a names list and phone people with your opportunity)? I know for a fact you’d rather teach something you know about. That’s what the stats show. You would be more comfortable putting your personal touch on the network marketing business model than you would be, using a ‘flip-chart’ or a ‘hotel meeting’ that you know most of your friends and family will not be impressed with.
Everyone likes to teach, but far less people like to sell. When you go into a store, where you are thinking about buying something that you don’t know a whole lot about (Ex: Car, TV, Home Entertainment System, Computer), what type of salesman do you like to buy from.

Which person is more likely to attract your attention
Do you like the type that gives a super hard sell with no personality? Do you like the type that tells you the basics but you get the feeling that it’s ‘hard work’ for him/her to muster up enough energy to help you out? Or, do you like the salesman, who has a personality, is willing to teach you about the different options and makes you feel like they are genuinely interested in helping you find the right fit for you? I’m betting you’d choose the third type of salesman over all the others. It’s been proven time and time again that the best salesman in the world are the best at ‘teaching’ the benefits of the product or service to the customer.
Teaching sells, so learn to teach!
#3: Give A Laser-Focused Message
This is the great thing about attraction marketing and the Internet. You don’t have to try and be all things to all people. You attract people who are like you by having a Laser-Focused Message. Would you rather create business partnerships (as customers or partners) with people who are like you and have the same interests, or do you want to work with people who have a different set of goals and interests? You would want to work with people who have similar interests because it’s more fun wouldn’t you?. The goal of attraction marketing is to attract people who have the same interests as you do. They are attracted to you not only because they have the same interests but also because you know more about a topic that they want to learn about.
Now, before you go thinking that you need to learn tons of things before you start marketing, STOP and realize that all you have to know is a little bit more than the next person to give them value. By having a laser-focused message that represents you and what you have to offer, people will more apt to be attracted to you.
This is especially important when you are starting your business. A common mistake for most network marketers is that they try to be all things to all people. That just doesn’t work. All that does is confuse people and when you confuse people on what your offer is, you may as well have spent your time talking to a wall. People want to know what the benefit is going to be for them quickly. If they can’t see a benefit for themselves quickly, they’ll tune you out and you’ll lose any possibility of doing any business. Some people may not like your message; that’s fine. You don’t want to waste any time on people that don’t have the same interests and goals as you. You want focus on the people that are attracted to your laser focused message and you’ll never find those types of people unless you have a laser-focused message to start with.

Develop your laser-focused message and you’ll attract high quality people who you want to work with so you can life the lifestyle you desire.
#4: You Start With Zero Credibility
When you start implementing your attraction marketing strategies, you will probably be starting without having any credibility in using the Internet, building a network marketing business, or using attraction marketing as part strategy to earn more income and time for yourself (unless you are one of the lucky few).
The good news for you is you don’t need any in order to be successful. What you DO need to know is how to increase your credibility ranking ASAP. Credibility ranking is a term that Ann Sieg made famous. She is one of the most successful network marketing ‘gurus’ of all time and is one of the main partners we use to make sure that you have every single piece of your MLM prospecting system ‘working like a well oiled machine’. Increasing your credibility ranking is not as difficult as it may seem. It is simply a process of doing one or all of the following
- Working directly with an experienced network marketer within your company who you respect and have a similar philosophy with (if you don’t have this, don’t worry about it, just implement the strategies 2 and 3).
- Create your own content (Internet Based)
- Create advanced content (Internet Based but can include physical material as well)
If you are going to implement the use of #1, be absolutely sure that you are comfortable with the style of your Up-Line (To learn more about how to choose your upline – click here). We are going to go through extensively after we go through Rule #5 but for now, just know that you don’t have to work with your direct upline if you don’t want to. It’s your business and you need to control it like it’s your own.
#5: No One Cares About You Or Your Opportunity
This rule can be difficult for people to grasp at first because it is the last thing anyone wants to hear. Especially in network marketing yet it is the Golden Rule of marketing. Before you start developing creating your message and developing your content, take this rule into account and use it to your advantage. Always, Always, Always keep in mind that

until they know what it can do for them
Don’t kid yourself. Like I said before, unless you can very quickly create some interest from your potential business partners, it’ll be like you’re talking to a wall. Put yourself in the position where you are being asked to learn something new. Would you care at all, until you had an idea of what it might do for you? The answer is NO, right? You’re a busy person who has lots of things you need/want to do therefore you aren’t interested in learning new things unless you get the feeling right away that whatever you are being offered is going to make your life better in some way, shape or form. The people you want to attract to your network marketing business need to see that you and your offer are going to make their life better or they give their focus for enough to learn how valuable your offer is.
Take these 5 Rules of MLM Attraction Marketing Seriously because they will definitely make your journey to earning passive income streams much more enjoyable and much more profitable.
